Since we started Rounded one of the organisations we have built a strong relationship with is Startup Victoria. They are a local Not-For-Profit dedicated to helping startups “….find resources to guide you and people to inspire you on your Startup journey.”

Why Rounded
Why Rounded? Like Grant, I was keen to document and share the experience of building Rounded. I completely echo the sentiments from his first journal post about openness and transparency and I’m excited to have this opportunity to talk so directly to the Rounded community.
Designing a new dashboard
For a few months I’ve been wanting to overhaul our dashboard as it really was a relic of our beta. Nearly every part of Rounded has seen plenty of redesign and tinkering, mainly to improve user efficiency and accommodate new features, sometimes purely for aesthetics.
Know how much tax you owe
As a freelancer, I’d always have no idea how much tax I owed at the end of each financial year. Very rarely it was a pleasant surprise but more often than not I owed more tax than I initially thought.
Import expenses from CSV
More often than not a spreadsheet is the first piece of software used to keep track of business expenses. It’s not hard to see how years of expense data can be amassed and the thought alone of having to move that data elsewhere would be quite daunting.
